Coastal Bend Industry Association Brand Rollout Reception

By News

The Coastal Bend Industry Association (CBIA), formerly known as Port Industries of Corpus Christi, announced their new brand at a reception held in July. This organization has continued to bring together refiners, chemical and bulk material manufacturers, rig fabricators, energy providers, and supporting distribution and terminal facilities located in Nueces, San Patricio, and Kleberg counties for over 70 years to propel our community forward and help build partnerships that improve the regional quality of life.

CBIA worked with MDR Advertising, a local award-winning advertising agency, to create a new brand to better reflect the companies it represents. The redesigned logo incorporates elements of the natural ecosystem–such as sun, water, and wind–representing key focal points of the association: economic vitality, environmental stewardship, water and air quality, emergency management and safety. CBIA member companies continue the tradition as the environmentally responsible economic engine for this region. Focus areas CBIA members collectively address include but are not limited to: air quality, uninterruptible water supply, workforce development, and quality of life for all in the Coastal Bend area.

Nueces Delta Clean Up

By News

On November 30, 2018, the Port Industries Technical Committee headed out to the Nueces Delta Preserve for our annual PICC Work Day! Dozens of PICC member volunteers took charge to trim brush and trees around the education area, Rincon Bayou and Nature trail. Volunteers also cleared an old dock, rerouted irrigation lines from rain water harvest systems to trees, installed solar powered irrigation pumps, constructed berms to slope slow water runoff, installed a new stump jump for the preschool visitors, and scattered seeds to establish new grass! Thanks to all of our wonderful volunteers for your generous efforts to keep our natural spaces thriving.
